1.)The first exercise is a 6 note pattern that you can move up and down the neck ....feel free to use the same pattern on different adjacent strings.
2.)The second exercise is for helping to get your pinky in shape.... you can continue this pattern up and down the neck...it's the same 7 note pattern moving up a position with the open E string in between...don't go faster than your clarity will allow.... if you are messing up then you're going too fast ...slow down.
3.) Start Exercise three with an upstroke and alternate....upstroke downstroke ustroke downstroke ....you will finish the pattern on a downstroke, setting you up to start the pattern again with an upstroke....keep the pattern going until you are at blinding speed.... and again...if you aren't playing it clean then you are going too fast...slow down.....eventually your muscle memory will take over and the speed will be there...walk before you run ....
