My name is Corey Taylor (yes I know who Corey Taylor is and I love slipknot and stone sour but i wasn't named after him on purpose). I grew up surrounding myself in music and my tastes have definitely evolved over time. I began learning guitar around the end of last summer with a very brief introductory lesson on tuning, picking, and tab reading from my uncle and since then I've been self taught through mostly reading tabs of songs as well as a few internet articles on different theory points. My dream is for my friend and I to start up a band. Guitar actually isn't my goal for the band, I prefer to do the screaming, but I think it would be good to know how to write riffs and play them anyways.
